About JEVA

We’re Alannah and Daniel — two veterans with a combined 22 years of military service, bringing together expertise in HR and business change.

We created JEVA to help organisations build modern workplaces where people are supported to thrive. As expectations around flexibility, inclusion, wellbeing and career development continue to change, we help businesses strengthen their people practices and give managers the confidence to lead today’s workforce.

Through HR consultancy, manager development and specialist veteran workplace programmes, we turn good intentions into practical action — creating clearer processes, stronger managers and meaningful support for employees throughout their careers.

How JEVA can help

HR Consultancy

Practical, modern HR support that helps you manage your people with confidence. Whether you need guidance on an employee issue, clearer workplace policies or support with organisational change, JEVA works with you to find an approach that fits your business. We help you address concerns early, strengthen everyday people management and build consistent processes, giving your managers clearer direction and your employees a better experience at work.

Veteran Workplace Support

JEVA helps employers understand military experience and provide meaningful support for veterans and Service families throughout their working lives. We work with organisations to strengthen onboarding, develop managers’ understanding and identify barriers that may affect an employee’s transition, development or wellbeing. Bringing together HR expertise and lived experience of military life, our approach recognises both the strengths people bring and the individual support they may need, helping employers build workplaces where veterans and Service families can belong, contribute and progress.

Manager Development

Good managers need more than technical knowledge; they need the confidence to lead people well. JEVA provides practical training and development to help managers hold effective conversations, set clear expectations and respond to concerns fairly. Covering areas such as probation, performance, absence and employee wellbeing, our approach connects learning to the situations managers face every day. The purpose is to build stronger leadership, encourage earlier intervention and create teams where people understand what is expected and feel supported to succeed.

Military to Manager

Military to Manager is designed to help veterans translate their military leadership experience into confident management within a civilian workplace. The pathway explores how existing strengths, including teamwork, accountability and decision-making, connect with civilian expectations, people management and organisational culture. It also helps employers recognise transferable skills and provide clearer development opportunities. The purpose is to support a lasting transition into leadership, giving veterans the understanding and support to grow within their organisation.

Veteran Support Officer Programme

Our Veteran Support Officer programme is designed to help organisations establish a trained internal point of contact for veterans and Service families. Delivered across four two-hour sessions, it builds understanding of military life, transition, family experiences and the workplace impact of health conditions. Participants explore supportive conversations, potential workplace adjustments, signposting and the boundaries of the role. The purpose is to create accessible, consistent support that connects employees with the right help and works alongside managers and HR.

From Pledge to Practise

Our From Pledge to Practise approach helps employers turn their Armed Forces Covenant commitments into meaningful everyday action. We work with organisations to consider how their pledge is reflected in workplace policies, onboarding, manager awareness, development opportunities and ongoing support. By identifying gaps, agreeing practical actions and establishing clear ownership and review points, we help employers make their commitment visible in the employee experience. The purpose is to build sustainable workplace practices that support veterans, reservists and Service families over time.
